June 25, 11:15 am: Stauffer Library - A caller reported his red bike was stolen while secured to the racks outside.

June 28, 11:45 am: Botterell Hall - The ERC was informed that the brakes were stolen off a bicycle while it was secured to the racks sometime during the previous Friday.

June 21, 5:22 pm: Botterell Hall - Caller reports his bicycle was stolen from where it had been locked to the racks between 12:00 and 5:20 pm, however its front wheel was left (see below incident). The bike is a black 44 speed Schwinn.

June 21, 5:21 pm: Botterell Hall - A caller reported the front wheel of his bike was stolen sometime between 4:00 pm and 5:20 pm that day.

June 16, 3:10 pm: Botterell Hall - Staff member reported the tires were stolen off his Norco mountain bike while it was u-locked to the racks on NW side of Botterell Hall between 9:30 am and 18:00 yesterday.

Stolen Bike (click here for larger image)June 15, 12:10 pm: Botterell Hall - The ERC received a report that a bicycle had been stolen from the north side of the building where it had been secured to the bike racks at approximately 9:00 am.

It is a silver & gold with black, 2002 Gary Fisher "Wahoo" model mountain bike - certificate #: C81F4488. A report was also filed with Kingston City Police. [click for bike photo]

June 10, 12:10 am: Mackintosh Corry Hall - A caller reported his black & red quick release bike seat was stolen off his bicycle while it was locked up to the racks. It appears an unsuccessful attempt was also made to steal the bike itself, as its chain lock was partially cut through.

June 3, 12:30 pm: Dupuis Hall - A caller reported her silver mountain bike was stolen from the area.


June 24, 4:55 pm: Underground Garage - Campus Security was informed a vehicle appeared to have been broken into at the Union Street garage.  The vehicle owner contacted the ERC soon afterwards and confirmed a green gym bag left on the front seat had been stolen sometime within the previous two or three hours. The bag contained Asics running shoes, a yoga mat, and gym clothing.


June 24, 10:45 am: Campus: Staff reported a laptop computer had been stolen from an office.  It is a MacBook Air, serial# SW8807418Y51 .

June 23, 12:00 pm: Grant Hall: A Toshiba Tecra laptop was stolen from the front entrance/hall of Grant Hall on June 17th , 2010. The serial number is 18025476H.
REWARD: If you find this laptop computer, please contact its owner at 613-533-6385 and leave a message with your contact information if there is no answer. A no-questions-asked reward is being offered for its recovery.


June 9, 3:55 am: Student Housing Area - A Queen's student residing in a house off campus in the Student Housing area reported someone just tried to kick in his front door. Kingston City Police were notified and both KPD and Campus Security attended the scene. A suspect was not located.


June 2, 12:45 am: Goodes Hall - A Commissionaire reported he interrupted a possible bicycle theft attempts at two separate locations outside the building. (see accompanying alert)

Initially the Commissionaire came upon a male at the bike racks on one side of the building, who immediately rode off on a bicycle when he realized he'd been observed. Then the Commissionaire walked around to the other side of Goodes Hall where he spotted a female engaged in removing parts from a locked up bicycle. She also fled the scene on a blue color bicycle.

Kingston City Police were notified of the incident and descriptions.
