Financial Aid

A variety of financial assistance programs are administered by the Student Awards Office to help students finance their Queen's education. All programs are designed to supplement, not replace, a student's and their family's contributions.

Queen's Financial Aid

Queen's offers many types of aid to students who do not have sufficient financial resources to pay for their education. These include: the Queen's General Bursary, the Work Study Program, Short Term Loans, Emergency Assistance, Upper Year Awards, and awards for students Studying Abroad. This financial assistance is based on assessed financial need.

Government Student Aid

If you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident you may qualify for federal and/or provincial government student financial assistance (such as OSAP for Ontario students).  U.S. students may be eligible to apply for U.S. Student Loans.

Other Aid Options

Students may wish to explore alternative options to finance their education, such as External Awards from various organizations, or a Student Line of Credit.
