INDG 495  Special Indigenous Topics  Units: 3.00

NOTE This course is repeatable for credit under different topic titles.
Learning Hours: 120 (36 Lecture, 84 Private Study)  
Requirements: Prerequisite (6.0 units from INDG_Options) or permission of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures.

Course Learning Outcomes:

  1. Gain an in-depth knowledge of the topic.
  2. Engage with Indigenous perspectives on the topic with confidence and respect.
  3. Analyze various perspectives on the topic, prioritizing Indigenous voices, and evaluate their impact on the way the topic is understood.
  4. Differentiate among a variety of Indigenous theories/ways of knowing and describe various Indigenous perspectives in theoretical discussions on the topic.
  5. Design a research plan on the topic that prioritizes Indigenous voices and knowledge.
