Queen's Campus
On Campus there are several locations where you can have a meal. Many of the locations listed in that link are good places for coffee, lunch, or snacks.
Downtown Kingston
Please find below a selected list of restaurants for lunch or dinner, pubs, and other venues the Conference organizers suggest in Downtown Kingston:
Restaurants (reservations are highly recommended; most offer vegetarian or vegan options)
- Amadeus: traditional Austrian-German fare, e.g. schnitzel, roulade, and many other classics, all served with a good selection of beers and other drinks
- Curry Original: one of the Indian places in Kingston
- Greco's: a classic Greek eatery; be sure to try the saganaki flambé and many other more typical dishes
- Olivea: one of the Italian restaurants in Kingston; specials change daily
- Pizza: an informal / takeaway pizza eatery in Kingston is DoughBox; for a restaurant-style pizzeria, one may try Wooden Heads Gourmet Pizza
Pubs
- The Kingston Brewing Company: established in 1986 in the premises of an old telegraph office; serves dishes made with local ingredients and a wide selection of tap beers
- The Merchant Tap House: just a few steps from the waterfront; along with classic appetizers and signature burgers, locally sourced vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available; also with a very wide selection of tap beers
Dessert
- Card's Bakery: a classic source of sweetening
- Mio Gelato: in case you did not have dessert, we highly recommend lining up here for a postprandial treat (and do expect a queue)
Other snack / lunch fare
- Crave Coffee House and Bakery: very nice (though often quite busy) place to hang out
- Mermaid Sandwich Factory: well worth visiting if you want to get off Campus for a sandwich (though expect some wait time)
- Pan Chancho Bakery + Café: retail store with gourmet food to go and a dine-in café open daily for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
