The target accounts for more than 10 per cent of the overall KFL&A community-wide goal, which is $4.25 million.

Following its most successful fundraising campaign yet, the Queen’s United Way committee has set a fundraising goal of $500,000 in support of the United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFL&A).

Queen’s community members interested in supporting the campaign can learn more on the Queen’s United Way website.

The target accounts for more than 10 per cent of the overall KFL&A community-wide goal, which is $4.25 million. In 2025, Queen’s donors topped the $500,000 mark for the first time in campaign history. The Queen’s campaign is the biggest single employer effort in Eastern Ontario.

Donations to the United Way KFL&A make a difference throughout the community. Last year, the United Way helped 54,220 local people access 43 agencies and 106 programs, providing support and resources when and where they were needed most.

When members of the Queen’s community come together to give, their individual contributions add up to meaningful support for the local community. For example, a gift of $20 a month ($240 a year), could provide 94 students with nutritious food at school.

“Last year, the Queen’s community came together to surpass $500,000 in support of the United Way, reflecting the generosity and community spirit of staff, faculty, students, and alumni,” says Principal and Vice-Chancellor Patrick Deane. “As we begin this year’s campaign, I invite everyone to consider how they can contribute in a way that is meaningful for them. Community engagement is an important part of who we are at Queen’s, and there are many ways to get involved, whether through a donation, volunteering, or other forms of support. These efforts strengthen our connections with the Kingston community.”

The Queen’s United Way Campaign is organized by a volunteer committee with support from champions across campus. To make a donation, sign up for payroll deduction, or increase your pledge, visit the Queen’s United Way website.
