The Department of Geography and Planning is pleased to share that PhD Candidate Sanjo Kazeem Abolarin has received a SSHRC Canada Graduate Research Scholarship-Doctoral (CGRS-D) award in support of his doctoral research.

Sanjo's doctoral research examines questions of energy justice, sustainable extractive governance, and just transitions, with a particular focus on critical minerals, resource extraction, and community outcomes in emerging energy-transition economies. His work is supervised by Dr. Kesha Fevrier.
