Mike Arsenault

Currently, I work as a weather and sports anchor for Global News Toronto. I create, produce and present weather forecasts for six markets across Canada. I work as a backup sports anchor on weekends, writing, producing, editing, and presenting highlight packages on a variety of sports.

I also work as a sideline reporter for CrossFit. I've covered a number of regional competitions, as well as reported during ESPN's coverage of the 2015 and 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games.

Previously, I worked as a sports reporter for the Metro News London, primarily covering the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. I was also the sports reporter/editor of the K-W Review and the Guelph Review.

I had my first novel, a work of baseball fiction baseball novel entitled, 60’6”: Balls, Strikes, and Baseball Mortality, published in 2012.

I look back fondly on my time in the Department of History, as the courses taught me how to become a better writer, think critically, and also provided me with the tools to answer more questions correctly while watching Jeopardy!
