Lara Campbell

Lara Campbell completed her doctorate in 2002, then taught for two years at Nipissing University. She is now an Assistant Professor at Simon Fraser University, where she teaches Canadian women's history. Having completed her recent book "Respectable Citizens: Gender, Family and Unemployment in Ontario's Great Depression" (University of Toronto Press, 2009), she is now working on a SSHRC-funded project on the history of the 1960s in Canada. The project looks at the history of Vietnam war resistance, with a particular interest in the gender politics of the antiwar and draft resistance movment in Canada and the United States.
