Dr. Max Hamon Wins Prix de l’Assemblée nationale du Québec

Dr. Max Hamon has won the Prix de l’Assemblée nationale du Québec for his book, The Audacity of His Enterprise. Louis Riel and the Métis Nation That Canada Never Was, 1840-1875. This prize, awarded by L’Institut d’histoire de l’Amérique française, is given to promote the production of works related to the political history of French America which stand out for their quality, originality, rigor of historical research, and accessibility to the general public. Max is currently the Buchanan Postdoctoral Fellow and an instructor in the History Department here at Queen's University.
