Research Interests

Parvin Navaeipour received her Ph.D. in Physics from Queen’s University in 2019. During her Ph.D. in Dr. Marc Dignam’s group, she worked on the nonlinear response of Graphene to THz radiation. She is currently a Mitacs Postdoctoral fellow in the group working on Liquid Crystals on Silicon with Lumentum Inc. Her interests and directions are focused on optical devices, telecommunication, and 2D materials nonlinear responses. Additionally, she likes to spend her free time playing tennis, hiking and wood carving.

Theoretical and computational research on the nonlinear optical and terahertz response of monolayer and bilayer graphene; and nonlinear quantum optics in ring‑resonator and photonic‑crystal systems.
