Ph.D. candidate Peter Sproule awarded research grant in MunichArt History Ph.D. candidate Peter Sproule has recently been awarded a research grant by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (German Academic Exchange Service), at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. During the 2022-23 academic year, Sproule will complete archival research for his dissertation -- on post-war men's fashion illustration -- and visit archives in both Munich and Berlin.

Additionally, this summer Sproule will participate in the German script course run by the Moravian Church Archives in Bethlehem, PA. The course is an intensive on learning to read German script, taught by Dr. Paul Puecker and Thomas McCullough; the course is entering its 53rd year, making it the longest running program of its kind in the USA.
