Art History professor Antonia Behan discusses her The Journal of Modern Craft article, "Ethel Mairet's Textile Biotechnics and the Aesthetics of Materials", as part of Garland's Reinventing the Wheel series. Prof. Behan joins Vishal Khandelwal (Visiting Assistant Professor, University of Pittsburgh) and Michael Mamp (Associate Professor, Textiles, Apparel Design, and Merchandising at Louisiana State University) in a virtual conversation about the career of Maiet, as well as textile designers Nelly Sethna and Ethel Wallace.
