As part of The Churches Conservation Trust's Free Lunchtime Lectures series, Prof. Cathleen Hoeniger gave a talk centred on the preservation of historic Italian churches during World War Two. Titled "The Struggle to Preserve Italy’s Early Churches during World War Two", Prof. Hoeniger focuses on the preservation process of specific churches, including establishing anti-aerial protection for the buildings and their art, and the first steps of care for churches that had been damaged.
