Bruegel exhibition catalogue

On April 11, the international art magazine, Art awarded its illustrious Curator Prize for the Exhibition of the Year (2018) to the world’s first major monographic show on Pieter Bruegel the Elder (c. 1525-1569), held at the Kusthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Co-curated by Queen’s Professor, Ron Spronk, a specialist of technical art history and Early Netherlandish painting, along with Sabine Penot, Elke Oberthaler and Manfred Sillink, the exhibition has received widespread critical acclaim, described by the New York Times as a “once-in-a–lifetime exhibition”. Congratulations to Professor Spronk and his colleagues!
