Student Voices Week is a week-long series of opportunities to engage in conversations about equity and allyship at Queen's and to celebrate the equity-focused work being done by students across campus.

Student Voices Week is hosted by the Queen's Shift Project in the Student Experience Office in collaboration with many university partners and student groups.

Unless otherwise noted, all Student Voices Week events are open to any students looking to be part of the shift towards a safer and more inclusive campus culture for everyone.

Monday, March 11th

  • 9am: Shift Shorts: Activism & Advocacy Continuum Episode Launch hosted by the Queen's Shift Project & Youth for Consent Culture
  • 10am: Student Voices Week Market hosted by the Queen's Shift Project
  • 4pm:  Allies & Faith session hosted by the Queen's Shift Project & the Office of Faith and Spiritual Life
  • 6pm: Allyship Themed Bracelet Making hosted by Residence Life & Services

Tuesday, March 12th

  • 10am: Building a Consent Culture Workshop hosted by the Student Experience Office and Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Services
  • 5:30pm: Equity Town Hall hosted by the AMS Social Issues Commission

Wednesday, March 13th

  • 11:30am: Community Soup Lunch & Conversation hosted by the QUIC (Queen's University International Centre)
  • 12pm: Pop-Up Affirmations Project hosted by the Queen's Shift Project & the Office of Faith and Spiritual Life
  • 5:30pm: Conversation Café hosted by the Commitment Scholar Engagement Committee
  • 8pm: Film Screening: Killers of the Flower Moon hosted by the Queen's Native Students Association

Thursday,  March 14th

  • 11am: Student Wellness Services Drop-In: Your Voice Matters! hosted by Queen's Student Accessibility Services & Health Promotion
  • 12pm: "Finding Your Voice" Reflection and Journaling Session hosted by Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Services and Human Rights Advisory Services
  • 3:30pm: Guided Meditation for Student Activists hosted by Athletics & Recreation
  • 4pm: Lead, Include, Transform Open Session hosted by the Student Experience Office and the Human Rights & Equity Office
  • 5:30pm: Student Voices Week Student Celebration hosted by the Queen's Shift Project and the Yellow House Student Centre for Equity & Inclusion

Friday, March 15th

  • 6pm: 'Barbie' Film Screening and Guided Conversation hosted by the Queen's Shift Project and the Off Campus Community (Student Experience Office)
  • 8pm: Queer Prom 2024: Out of this World hosted by The Education on Queer Issues Project
