Monitoring Website Quality and Accessibility

About Siteimprove

Compliance: Queen's University's websites must meet accessibility requirements, including compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). We must provide also a great user experience and ensure our websites are secure.

Governance: Queen's Website Governance Committee uses the online "Siteimprove" tool to monitor, identify, and correct issues across the Queen's website environment.

Support: Across Queen's, website editors and developers also have access to Siteimprove to monitor and optimize the accessibility, quality and searchability of their web content. Siteimprove helps website owners and admins to understand and fix issues on their websites. It is available for free and strongly recommended to everyone who's managing a public-facing website.

Optimize: Many users find our websites through a search on Google or other search engines. We must optimize our sites so they are recognized by search engines and rank well in search results. Siteimprove helps Queen's site admins understand how they can improve their sites for search.
