Bonjour,

Queen's French Club serves to create a comfortable and fun environment in the Kingston Community in which students can practice and learn the French language. French is a useful language that can be used all throughout Canada but especially in regions in Quebec which is only a few hours from Kingston. We invite students of all levels of French to join us in fun activities!

Cette rencontre virtuelle d’une heure est liée au colloque international Regards autochtones sur les Amériques qui se tient depuis 2009 dans le cadre du Festival Présence autochtone.Elle vise à susciter des échanges sur les colloques passés et les préoccupations actuelles afin de mieux planifier le prochain colloque international prévu en 2022.

Job: Term Adjunct FREN 107/3.0 – Communication et culture II

The Department of French Studies at Queen’s University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching a course in Communication et culture II (FREN 107/3.0). This is an online, first year course with an expected enrolment of 350 students. Candidates should be fluent in both French and English, have a Ph.D in French Studies and teaching experience at the University level, preferably in French Studies.

Studying Abroad for Fall and/or Winter

Students enrolled in a French Plan are encouraged to go on exchange in their third year of studies. Students may choose to study abroad for the Fall or Winter Terms or for the entirety of the academic year.

An Information session for students enrolled in a French plan typically takes place in November. Please consult our event calendar.

Online TAship's available in French Studies for Spring/Summer 2021

The teaching assistants that we are seeking are for the support of online courses. Some training and preparation are needed before the start of the course. Candidates must be prepared to work outside the regular 9-5 work week and have access to the internet and a computer that meets minimum requirements. Experience with learning management systems (eg onQ) and video-conferencing software (e.g. Zoom or Adobe Connect) would be an asset.
