Queen’s researchers and community members are invited to participate in an upcoming workshop on incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their research projects. The session is part of the annual event series, Resources for Research at Queen’s (R4R@Q) hosted by the Vice-Principal (Research) Portfolio. The goal is to help Queen’s researchers develop the best possible roadmap to success leveraging the services offered at the university from support for project conception through to knowledge mobilization.

The SDG workshop will take place in-person on Feb. 6, 3-4 p.m., at the DDQIC Rose Event Commons. It will feature a panel of four researchers moderated by Heather Aldersey (Rehabilitation Therapy), Special Advisor to the Principal on the UN SDGs, on how they are leading the way in addressing SDGs through their research. Participants are asked to register in advance.

Queen’s research is driving progress on many of the SDGs locally, nationally, and globally. In combination with our teaching, outreach, and stewardship activities, the Queen’s community is advancing innovative and collaborative social impact in support of our university mission. For the third straight year, Queen’s has ranked among the top 10 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, a global measurement for assessing universities’ performance in advancing the SDGs. Queen’s is the only Canadian university to achieve three top-10 placements since the rankings began in 2019.
