On Nov. 14, 2022, the Yellow House Student Centre for Equity and Inclusion will host the first event of their new Many Identities Speaker Series—a run of storytelling and performance events exploring queer identity, spirituality, and lived experiences.

Organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts & Science, Faculty of Education, Faith and Spiritual Life, the Student Experience Office’s SHIFT Project, and engaging various community partners to support different topics and speakers. The first speaker, T Wise, is a Brooklyn-based educator and stand-up comedian who will be sharing his experience as a trans and Jewish person. This first speaking engagement is supported by community partners Hillel and Rainbow Jews.

Open to students, faculty, staff, and Kingston community members at large, the free event will include a performance by and Q&A session with T Wise, followed by a facilitated, reflective learning session open to all attendees, and a private meet and greet dinner with T Wise for 2SLGBTQ+ attendees.

The event will start at 5 p.m. in Duncan McArthur Hall (511 Union Street). Those interested in attending are asked to register online in advance.
