A new version of the Queen’s Events Calendar, the university’s central hub for campus event promotion and discovery, launched on August 26. The updates introduce a refreshed interface and enhanced functionality designed to assist community members in finding upcoming activities and enable organizers to increase awareness of their events.

Faculties, schools, departments, and other units can use the calendar to promote events they host or organize. Community-facing student-led events are also welcome, such as student club activities that are open to all and have been officially sanctioned by the Alma Mater Society (AMS) or the Society of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS).

One of the new features, a JSON feed option to display event listings on other Queen’s websites, is designed to help broaden the reach of events and improve visibility across the university's digital channels. Users of the calendar will also notice a new keyword search function, making it easier to find relevant events.

Many familiar features remain, such as the calendar’s mobile-friendly design and filtering capabilities, enabling users to browse events by faculty, school, department, and event type.

Members of the Queen’s community who would like to post events to the calendar must register as event administrators. Previously registered calendar users must re-register for submission access on the new site. To register, complete the form available under the “Register to Post Events” tab in the main menu.
