Accessing co-working space

If you’re searching for Queen’s and Kingston’s entrepreneurship community, look no further than the Rose Innovation Hub.

Home to the Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre (DDQIC) and its programming, this facility offers the perfect space for meetings, workshops and co-working. Whether you are curious about entrepreneurship, looking to develop your skills or already have your own company, the Rose Innovation Hub is a place to work, explore, network, design, and collaborate. We welcome Kingston community members and local post-secondary students from any school, faculty, or level of study.

First things first, you will need fob access to the space. If you don't already have a key fob, these can be purchased at the Campus Bookstore for $10. To get your fob programmed for access please contact Program Manager, Joanna Tinus, at joanna.tinus@queensu.ca.

Once your fob is set up, you are ready to book space following the process outlined below:

  • Visit the DDQIC Skedda Booking Platform

    • NOTE: Before booking you will need to sign up or log in to your Skedda account. Go to the invitation link here.

    • Please email ddqic.roombooking@queensu.ca after you have signed up so they can give your account the appropriate tags to book a co-working space.

  • After logging in, you should be directed to the homepage. Under the top left corner, click "Map" and select the designated area you would like to work in

  • Click “book”, then fill in the required information to secure your room. This includes date of booking, space, and checkmarks on all DDQIC policies you agree to follow

  • Select "confirm booking" once you have completed the form

  • You should receive a booking confirmation email once the process is complete

  • Ensure you have received an email confirmation for your booking

  • Before entering the building, complete the SeQure assessment form

  • Ensure you have filled out the university's vaccine declaration form and have submitted proof of vaccination

  • When you arrive, there will be RIH coordinators if you need assistance

COVID-19 Restriction note: The centre is open with limitations based on updated COVID-19 guidelines and security measures set out by the University and the Municipal, Provincial and Federal Governments. There will be signage in each area indicating the maximum number of occupants that can be in each room. It's important that these guidelines are followed to ensure everyone is safe and that we are abiding by university guidelines. All equipment must be disinfected after use and occupants must be wearing a mask at all times.
