The Matariki Network of Universities (MNU) has announced funding for three new collaborative research projects following a competitive selection process. Notably, two of these projects include researchers from Queen's University.

Dr. Mariam Guizani of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Smith Engineering has received funding for the project, “Human-Centred Generative AI in Software Engineering Teams: Collaboration, Inclusion, and Sustainable Productivity.” This 24-month project will be carried out in collaboration with researchers from the University of Otago and Uppsala University. 

Dr. Setareh Ghahari of the School of Rehabilitation Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences has received funding as a collaborator on the 24-month project, “Strengthening Health Information Systems for Migrant and Refugee Health: A Comparative Study of New Zealand, Sweden, and Canada.” This 24-month project will be carried out in collaboration with researchers from the University of Otago and Uppsala University.
