Queen's Regional Advisory Councils

Regional Advisory Councils (RAC) bring the expertise of the Queen’s community to the partnership building process.

The Global Engagement Strategic Plan outlines four priority regions for Queen's to implement values-based, regional strategies to increase the number and effectiveness of partnerships — Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, and Southeast Asia — as well as with Indigenous and Black communities worldwide.

The Regional Advisory Councils report to the Vice-Provost, Global Engagement to ensure viable and sustainable areas for investment of time and resources within these regions.

Objectives

(1) Support the Queen’s community on beginning, building, or extending collaboration in specific regions.

(2) Bring the expertise of Queen’s community to the creation, deepening and sustenance of strategic, mutually beneficial global partnerships in specific regions.

(3) Advise on region-specific initiatives (both new and continuing initiatives) grounded in the strong connections, networks or activities fostered by members of the Queen’s community.
