Queen’s University was pleased to welcome representatives from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto on September 21, 2026. The delegation included Zhang Meng, Counselor and Head of the Education Office, Han Wenjin, Consul, Education Office, and Lu Feng, Vice Consul, Education Office.
The delegation met with representatives from the Office of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement, Smith School of Business, and the Faculty of Arts and Science. Through engaging discussions, Queen’s spoke to our current collaborations with leading Chinese universities, innovative initiatives and emerging academic programs, and exciting opportunities to deepen partnerships and explore transnational education activities.
The visit also provided an opportunity to celebrate Queen’s impact in China, including the Master of Finance (MFin) program, now in its 12th year, the active Queen’s alumni community across the country, and the strong reputation Canada continues to enjoy among Chinese students and their families. The discussions reaffirmed the value of international collaboration and the importance of maintaining strong education partnerships.
