Instructor: Meena Krishnamurthy

This course explores some of the most urgent moral and political questions of our time by returning to the classic debates that first brought them to philosophical prominence, from abortion and euthanasia to immigration, privacy, and civil disobedience. Along the way, students will learn not just what philosophers have said, but how to do philosophy themselves. Through close reading, structured writing, and in-class discussion, we will practice the skills at the heart of philosophical inquiry: analyzing arguments, applying them to real-world cases, and thinking critically and collaboratively about what’s at stake.
