Christine Sypnowich has been appointed to a second term as Head of the Philosophy Department, beginning 1 July 2020. Christine was due to have a brief hiatus from the job of Head, taking up a Visiting Fellowship at All Souls College in Oxford for a few weeks this spring, but found herself instead remaining in Kingston, caught up in departmental administration in the midst of a pandemic! ‘Not my first choice of how things would go!’ says Christine of the past three months of non-stop contingency planning for Philosophy at Queen’s. ‘However, I’m honoured indeed that colleagues and students have seen fit to renew my term – we have a wonderful department and I’m delighted to have the chance to work further to facilitate its success.’
