Join Dale Lackeyram, Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning for an hour-long webinar focused on this year’s nominations for the Principal’s Teaching and Learning Awards.

Learn what is new for 2023 and how best to nominate an individual or group. The webinar will be valuable to first-time nominators, as well as those who have submitted in the past. Plan to attend on October 4 to learn valuable skills for responding to the criteria and crafting an effective nomination.

Topics of discussion will include the required components of successful awards, the evaluation criteria and process, and strategies that enrich and strengthen a competitive nomination.

The webinar will include a Q&A period.

Inspiring educators recognized during convocation

As the Queen’s community celebrates the Class of 2023, it is also recognizing the formative influence of teachers who have inspired graduates along their educational journey with the Baillie Award for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching. Graduating students are invited to nominate their past teachers for the award, which are presented during the students’ convocation ceremonies.

Five teachers who have inspired Queen’s graduates were on hand last week during ceremonies at the Leon’s Centre.
