Fees paid to the Psychology Clinic at Queen’s follow a sliding scale, depending on your income. Unfortunately, psychological services are not covered under OHIP. If you have health benefits (e.g., through your workplace) that cover psychological services, you can submit the receipt for full or partial reimbursement. Please let us know if the minimum fee is not affordable, as we may have some pro bono spots available.
For assessments, as of January 2024, the Psychology Clinic at Queen’s is moving to a low-cost, flat fee for all psychological assessments. Payment is due at the time of the session. If you require an alternative payment plan, please discuss this with the Administrative Assistant.
For other psychological services, please pay at the time of or following each appointment. If you require an alternative plan, please discuss this with the Administrative Assistant.
Payment for services for clients referred through WSIB is paid directly by WSIB.
Payment options include – debit, credit, e-transfer, cash and cheque. Please make cheque payable to “Queen’s University”.
Missed Appointments
Please notify the Clinic at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You can leave a voice-mail message at 613-533-6021. Otherwise, you may be charged $25.00 for missed appointments.

Below you will find the suggested scale for participation in our 6-week group programs, which includes an individual consultation as part of your initial assessment in our service. If following your consult appointment other treatment recommendations are provided and/or you choose to not participate in the upcoming group session, you will only be charged a fee for this initial appointment.
Group programs are typically billed in two payments, due at the beginning and midway point of the program. For group programs, you will be responsible for payment of the total cost of the program, even if you do not attend every session.
