Royal Society of Canada: Navigating the Nomination Process (Natural and Physical Sciences)

The Vice-Principal Research Portfolio invites Queen’s researchers in the arts, humanities and social sciences to participate in an information workshop on the nomination process for election to the Royal Society of Canada (RSC), either as a Fellow or as a Member of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.

Session 3: Academy III - Natural and Physical Sciences

Led by Stéfanie von Hlatky (Associate Vice-Principal Research, RSC College Member), Mona Rahman (Research Awards Officer), and Troy Day (Mathematics and Statistics, RSC Fellow), the workshop will provide practical advice and insights based on their experience with the nomination and selection processes. Topics will include preparing nomination materials, identifying and approaching potential referees, and navigating the nomination process.

The workshop will run for 90 minutes, with an additional 30 minutes available for questions and discussion as needed.
