Our team develops and facilitates partnerships with industry, governments, not-for-profit organizations, and academic institutions to advance research excellence, protect and commercialize inventions, and grow a vibrant innovation ecosystem. 

Queen’s Partnership and Innovation offers programs, services, and resources that support entrepreneurs, including those from Queen’s, and accelerate the growth of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises across Kingston and Eastern Ontario. 

Our work includes: 

  • Advancing strategic collaborations across research, licensing, and the regional innovation ecosystem 
  • Supporting researchers to strengthen partnerships, programs, and outcomes 
  • Evaluating invention disclosures, developing IP strategies, and leading patenting, commercialization, and licensing 
  • Securing funding and leading innovation ecosystem initiatives to accelerate entrepreneurial growth 
  • Engaging in industry consortia and regional, national, and global initiatives 
  • Encouraging early market assessment to inform research programs 
  • Ensuring research security, data privacy, and compliance through rigorous due diligence
