Internal Funding

The Vice-Principal Research provides internal funding programs designed to advance research across disciplines and support researchers at various stages of their careers. These funds can help develop ideas, build research capacity, and enhance future external funding applications.

Social sciences and humanities

Apply for up to $10,000 in funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Institutional Grant (SIG). The SIG aims to support small-scale research or knowledge mobilization in the social sciences and humanities. Offered annually through a Queen’s internal review process, this funding helps researchers prepare for external grant applications.
