An impressionist painting of a ballerina in an explosive white tutu

The Kingston Symphony closes our season with an unusual take on our yearly festival. Instead of singling out one composer, we are focusing on the art of the music of dance. From the ballet to the tango and beyond, this is a true celebration of some of the greatest music ever written, inspired by the grace, beauty, strength, and resolve of human beings in motion. JUNO Award winner Angela Schwarzkopf joins us for what will be an unforgettable performance of Arturo Marquez’s harp concerto, inspired by the official dance of Cuba, the Danzón.
