Parking Areas
The Isabel has 173 public parking spaces available for visitors. Located at 390 King Street West, there is limited parking in the lower lot and on the west side of the building. There is additional parking available in the upper lot off King Street, at 404 King Street West. Please note that the Queen's does not own this upper lot and there is no sidewalk connecting it to the sidewalk on King Street West.
Overflow parking is also available at 340 Union Street on the Union Street side of the Providence Transitional Care Centre lot (formerly St Mary’s of the Lake hospital). There is a walkway onto Ellerbeck Street from the south-west corner of the lot and a pedestrian activated traffic light at the top of the Isabel driveway to cross King Street safely.
Cars may drive in to drop off passengers at the front doors and turn around. This drop-off zone is limited to 5 minutes. Parking is strictly prohibited in the area outside the front doors of the Isabel. This is a fire route and should only be used for drop-off/pick-up purposes to ensure the safety of all.
Rates
$2.00/hour pay and display (or parking permit) parking is enforced Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. This applies to both Isabel upper and lower lots.
Queen’s University has partnered with HonkMobile to allow visitors to pay for campus parking directly from their smartphones or tablets. Using the HonkMobile app, users can search, pay for, and add additional time remotely, without having to return to their vehicles parked at Queen’s pay-and-display lots, including the Isabel. The free app is available on honkmobile.com, the Apple App Store, or Google Play, and is easy to set up.
NEW! Parking is free in the upper and lower lots on weekday evenings after 5pm and on weekends.
Accessible Parking
There are 5 accessible visitor parking spaces in the small upper lot across from the Isabel entrance. Additional accessible parking spaces are located in the lower parking lot in front of the stage door. Please contact our Box Office for advice on accessible parking at 613-533-2424.
