Business for Arts & Science Students

Graduate Programs in Arts Management & Leadership

The Dan School of Drama and Music, and the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts (IBCPA) have two new exciting programs - a new Arts Management Graduate Diploma and a Master's in Arts Leadership. These programs are ideal for students and working professionals who have the passion and acumen for the arts  and see their careers not so much as on the stage but rather directing from behind the scenes - directing the business operations that is.

The focus is on developing 21st century leadership and management capabilities. Course work covers strategic planning and thinking, a specific focus on comprehensive revenue development in arts marketing and philanthropy, cultural policy, contract negotiations and labour relations, financial and management accounting, and digital entrepreneurship.

The program will focus on inquiry-based research, applied learning in live-site analysis and the rigorous exchange of ideas, producing graduate students who are immediately qualified to assume specialized administrative positions with professional arts organizations and who will eventually assume leadership.
