Thien’s masterpiece is “breathtaking in scope and ambition even as it is hauntingly intimate” (Penguin). It tells the story of three musicians in China before, during and after the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. On top of the Giller Prize, this extraordinary novel won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Fiction and was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.

Copies of Don't Say We Have Nothing will be available for purchase at the event.
