ENGL PhD Candidate Collaborates with Adam Matthews Digital

Emma McTavish is a fourth year PhD candidate here at the Queen's University English Department. Her dissertation titled "Dirty Women and Disgusted Looks: Femininity, Filth, and the Male Gaze in the Munby Collection" focuses on working and noseless women in Arthur Munby's diaries, included in his vast archival collection left to Trinity College Cambridge. Adam Matthew Digital, whose collection Gender: Identity and Social Change houses the digitized Munby Collection, has featured Emma's research methods using the database.
