Emma McTavish is a fourth year PhD candidate here at the Queen's University English Department. Her dissertation titled "Dirty Women and Disgusted Looks: Femininity, Filth, and the Male Gaze in the Munby Collection" focuses on working and noseless women in Arthur Munby's diaries, included in his vast archival collection left to Trinity College Cambridge.
