Dissertation

My dissertation focuses on depictions of mental illness in medieval romances; I am particularly interested in exploring how medieval conceptions of mental illness relate to the conceptualization of public and private spaces in the Middle Ages, and the way in which mental health and gender roles intersect in chivalric romances.
