What is it about poetry, about writing it, about its endurance and practice? In this course, we will write, read, and discuss how the practice of poetry moves us, holds us or threatens to tear us apart. Through weekly writing reflections, workshops, revision, and discussion of contemporary poetry collections, we will work towards the creation of a chapbook, an open mic event, and the creation of a writing community to take forward.
