Welcome to Queen's Summer Accommodations!

This guide provides information about our overnight accommodation amenities, services and regulations. If you require assistance during your stay, please don't hesitate to contact our front desk staff by:

Check-out time: 11:00AM
All room keys must be returned to the front desk upon check-out to avoid any additional charges.

When you arrive to check-in, please park along Albert St. in front of Endaayaan – Tkanónsote, or park in the Tindall Parking lot across the street. There is no parking, drop-off, pick-up or idling permitted in the laneway adjacent to the building.

Full payment is taken at the time of check-in (Debit or Credit only)

Complimentary WiFi is available for all guests.

A guest username and password are available on your key card holder, noted on your receipt, or available at the front desk at 613 533-3183

Housekeeping is provided every other day, with linen change on a weekly basis, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. 
Please contact the front desk if you have any questions or concerns about housekeeping during your stay.
 

Laundry rooms are located throughout all accommodation buildings, and contain front-loading washers and dryers with detailed operating instructions. The cost per load is $2.25/wash and $1.85/dry. You will pay for your laundry using the Coinamatic app.

Parking is available at the Tindall Field Parking Lot (across the street from the front desk.)

When you arrive to check-in, please park along Albert St. in front of Endaayaan – Tkanónsote, or park in the Tindall Parking lot across the street. There is no parking, drop-off, pick-up or idling permitted in the laneway adjacent to the building.

Payments for parking can be made through the HONK app.

Overnight and Weekend Parking is complimentary.

Only service animals are permitted to join guests in our accommodations.

Turn the thermostat on by pressing the top right hand “ON” button. 

A person icon should appear on the screen to indicate it is in the “occupied” mode. 

If the icon does not appear please call the front desk (613-533-3183).

The set temperature is indicated on the bottom line of the display. 

Decrease the set temperature using the down arrow located on the bottom of the controls.

Ensure the window is shut for air-conditioning to work properly.

The Queen’s Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) is located at 284 Earl Street.  

It features several amenities, including a 14 lane indoor pool, 8 squash and 2 racquetball courts, 3 gymnasiums, 5 fitness/cardio areas and 2 combative rooms. Please note that guests must be 18 years of age to use the facility unsupervised.

Daily, weekly and monthly passes are available for purchase at the ARC customer service desk.

Queen’s University Security Staff is on duty 24 hours a day and patrols the campus regularly. Emergency telephones (identified by a blue light) are located throughout campus with direct access to Security staff. If you have security concerns within the residence, please contact your front desk or Campus Security.

Please note the location of life safety equipment (alarm pull stations, extinguishers etc.) and emergency exits in your building.  In the event of an emergency:

•          Evacuate the building if the fire alarm sounds by using the nearest stairwell. Do not use the elevators.

•          Remain outside the building until you are advised that it is safe to return.

Please note that any guest who willfully tampers with or breaks a public or private fire alarm apparatus or any fire-fighting equipment, or gives, transmits or sounds any false alarm of fire will be charged with a misdemeanor. All guests will also be responsible for any damages resulting from the action (e.g. cost of refilling fire extinguishers).

For items lost in other campus locations, contact Campus Security at 613-533-6000 ext. 77490. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Damage – Any damage to campus/residence buildings or furnishings that result in additional cleaning or repair requirements will be billed to you or your group at an additional cost.
  • Prohibited Items – Beer bottles, kegs, candles, non-service pets and personal barbeques are not permitted inside or on the grounds of Queen’s Residences.
  • Smoking – Smoking or vaping is not permitted inside any building or on Queen’s campus property.
  • Noise – Please respect our quiet hours of 11 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Guests who disturb others may be reported to Campus Security and asked to leave their residence without a refund.  If noise from another group is disturbing you, please contact the front desk.

Bank/Debit Machines – Located in the Athletics & Recreation Centre and on the ground floor of MacCorry Hall. Bank machines are also available at the Kingston General Hospital - 76 Stuart Street.
