The Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study is a cross-national research study conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).
The HBSC study collects data on a range of key topics that influence and reflect the health of Canadian youth today holistically. The design of the HBSC study allows these factors to be studied narrowly or in connection with each other.
The Canadian HBSC team is led by Dr. Wendy Craig and Dr. William Pickett, with the support of project staff at Queen’s University and graduate and undergraduate students.
The Canadian HBSC Research Network brings together youth health experts from across the country. These experts from various health disciplines collaborate on study development, data analysis, and knowledge dissemination.
The HBSC team produces a range of knowledge translation materials to ensure our findings are accessible to a variety of audiences, ranging from scientists to youth themselves. Key findings from our most recent survey are available now.
