Youth Advisory Panel

A key tenant of the HBSC Project’s research approach is treating young people as the experts on their own lives and well-being. Thus, the HBSC research team consults closely with its Youth Advisory Panel, made up of 19 youth advisors aged 11-17 from across Canada. Youth advisors meet regularly throughout the year to contribute to the study across various phases. Youth advisors help develop the HBSC survey, including refining existing questions and piloting new items, interpret findings by identifying emerging themes, and facilitate dissemination of findings through social media.
