Physical Wellbeing

We are proud to offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision care benefits. Provided by Manulife, our benefits cover a range of areas including prescription drugs, paramedical services, glasses and contact lenses, dental and orthodontic treatments, as well as Emergency Travel Assistance.

Mental Wellbeing

Provided by Manulife, our benefits cover a range of mental health support, including coverage for psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers and long-term disability insurance.

Financial Wellbeing​

Our benefits program includes life insurance and other various income protection plans, such as accidental death and dismemberment insurance, critical illness insurance and long-term disability insurance, to provide financial security in case of unforeseen circumstances. 

Employee and Family Assistance Program

Our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) provider offers confidential, professional, and personalized wellness services that are available to employees and family members, 24/7. Childcare Support Plan

The Childcare Support Plan provides reimbursement for eligible daycare expenses to Queen's employees dependent children under the age of seven attending a childcare facility. In addition, specific plans provide reimbursement for eligible expenses for dependent children between the ages of seven and up to the end of the month in which they turn 12.

Tuition Assistance Program

The Tuition Assistance Program is designed to support employees in the pursuit of their professional development and educational goals. Funds available through the program offer an annually renewable non-taxable benefit and support undergraduate and graduate studies at Queen’s or other institutions.

Tuition Support Plan

The Tuition Support Plan provides post-secondary tuition support for the dependent children (under 25) and spouses or partners of eligible Queen's employees attending a university or college recognized under Universities Canada or Colleges and Institutes Canada.

University Pension Plan

University Pension Plan (UPP) is a new jointly sponsored pension plan and the first of its kind in Ontario’s university sector. Learn more about the plan by visiting the UPP website.
