A brand new makerspace course is launching at Queen's University. ENIN 250, Makerspaces and the Creative and Innovative Process, is designed to empower students with the mindset and skillset of an innovator, focusing on the principles of design thinking and the potential of the maker movement to create social impacts. It is a new addition to the roster of courses in the Certificate of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity, and it offers a unique learning experience that blends theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Students will dive into real-world problems and learn how to use makerspace equipment competently and safely in the SparQ Studios makerspace located in Mitchell Hall. Throughout the course, students will be guided through the process of designing, prototyping, and testing objects, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
