Learn how a makerspace and prototyping studio can help boost your business through an exlusive SparQ Studios tour for women entrepreneurs!

If you’re a woman-identifying creative or entrepreneur with an interest in prototyping your idea, then check out our upcoming tour of the SparQ Studios Makerspace at Queen's University.

SparQ Studios is a makerspace and design studio that provides a wide range of tools, machinery, knowledge, and expertise so that you can bring your idea into a physical form.

With support from the Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre (DDQIC), SparQ Studios is located on the ground floor of Mitchell Hall (69 Union Street West) at Queen’s University.

SparQ Studios is open to anyone in the community who wants to familiarize themselves with modern making equipment, learn new skills, and complete their own creative projects. It also caters to DDQIC start-ups who need to quickly prototype their ideas, a critical stage in the journey to building a successful product.

The makerspace studio supports:

  • 3D CAD/Modelling
  • 3D printing
  • Woodworking
  • Electronics working
  • General tool work (hand and power tools)
  • CNC machine
  • Laser engraver

… and more!

Your tour guide for the event is Corbet Mackinnon (he/him), SparQ Studios Director.
