Abstract: Like other Global South countries, climate change in Mongolia has resulted in a steady and growing rural-to-urban migration over the two decades. Based on over 100 interviews with herder families, policy makers, researchers, and other stakeholders, I show the unequal impacts of climate change based on gender, age, and geographies, and how this is affecting women’s unpaid care work within households and communities.
