Art McDonald (Physics) and physicists at the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) discovered that neutrinos have mass and redefined the Standard Model of Particle Physics? The discovery earned the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics and the 2016 Breakthrough Prize.

Office of Partnerships and Innovation

The Office of Partnerships and Innovation (OPI) develops and facilitates partnerships to advance the research enterprise at Queen’s and the commercialization of inventions, and to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem in Kingston and Eastern Ontario. With support from external funding, the OPI also offers services and programs to accelerate the growth of start-ups and SMEs within the region.
