- Provides strategic leadership to Research Centres and Institutes (RCIs), ensuring sustained funding, enhanced research impact, alignment with institutional priorities, and the attraction and development of top research talent. Provides guidance and feedback on applications of RCIs as Tier I or Tier II.
- Drives institutional research excellence and capacity building through direction of undergraduate research initiatives operating out of the Vice-Principal Research Portfolio, and stewardship of core research facilities infrastructure.
- Active member of Queen's University Board-Senate Advisory Committee (QUBSAC), and Canada Division Representative for the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR).
