Students admitted to the Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) Program will have been placed in the Fine Art Major. A request to add, change, or drop the Minor component, may be made through the change of Plan process. It is advisable to seek academic advice from Fine Art before doing so.
Transfer from Fine Art: Students in Fine Art who wish to transfer from the Fine Art Major to a different Arts and Science Plan, may do so through the change of Plan process. There is no return to Fine Art without undergoing a portfolio review. It is prudent to seek academic advice from Fine Art or from an academic advisor in Arts and Science before changing your Plan.
Transfer to Fine Art: Students who wish to transfer to Fine Art from another Plan in Arts and Science must submit a portfolio to the Fine Art Department for consideration. Portfolios may be submitted by February 15 for consideration for early admission; however, the final day for submission is March 1st by 4:00 pm. The portfolio requirements can be found here.
There is limited spaces available so it is prudent to seek advice from Fine Art before initiating this process. Accepted students will begin the Fine Art Program at year one.
First-year students should still participate in the Plan Selection process in early May just in case they are not accepted into Fine Art. Upper-year students who are not admitted to a Fine Art will remain in their current Plan.
