Religious Studies (RELS)

Religious Studies:  What RELS course should I take?

The Department of Religious Studies offers two first-year courses in Religious Studies.  Students may choose one of the following:

RELS 131/6.0     World Regligions/Religous Worlds

RELS 161/6.0     Contemporary Problems in Religion and Culture

Both courses offer students an introduction to Religious Studies.  Any one (but no more than one) of these courses should be taken by any student who intends to pursue a Plan in Religious Studies.  Either of these courses is a good elective choice for any student in Arts or Science.  If undecided, choose the course that best suits your interests.

NOTE:  All 6.0 unit courses are multi-term courses. These courses are offered across the Fall and Winter Terms.  When students enrol in the "A" suffix course in the Fall Term, the "B" suffix will automatically be added to the Winter Term. Both halves of the course will be offered at the same time in the course timetable.

SECTIONED COURSES:  These courses are offered in more than one tutorial section.  When you register in the course, you must choose the section that best suit your timetable.
