The Department of Classics offers Plans in Classical Studies (CLST), Greek (GREK) and Latin (LATN).

Classical Studies

To pursue a Plan in Classical Studies, in first year you should take:

One of CLST 100/6.0 or (CLST 102/3.0 and CLST 103/3.0) or CLST 129/6.0 (Classics:  see What CLST course should I take?)

Additionally, it is recommended you take (especially if you intend to pursue a Major or Medial):

LATN 110/6.0 or GREK 112/6.0 (see Languages in First Year, but if you hold OAC/Grade 12 Latin or Greek (or equivalent), you may be able to start at the second year level in the language)

Latin

To pursue a Plan in LATN, in first year you should take:

One of CLST 100/6.0 or (CLST 102/3.0 and CLST 103/3.0) or CLST 129/6.0 (Classics: see What CLST course should I take?)

LATN 110/6.0 (see Languages in First Year but if you hold Grade 12 Latin (or equivalent), you may be able to start at the second year level in the language)

Greek

To pursue a Plan in GREK, in first year you should take:

One of CLST 100/6.0 or (CLST 102/3.0 and CLST 103/3.0) or CLST 129/6.0 (Classics: see What CLST course should I take?)

GREK 112/6.0 (see Languages in First Year but if you hold Grade 12 Greek (or equivalent), you may be able to start at the second year level in the language)
